This program is administered by the Medical Professions Committee.  The following meets the minimum course requirements for admission to most dental schools.  Pre-dental students are urged to complete at least three years of college work before applying for admission to dental school.  It is recommended that the minimum program be enriched with electives in social and behavioral sciences, humanities, and fine arts.  Suggested courses in the sciences include biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, physiology, and psychology.  All applicants for dental school are required to take the dental admission test (D.A.T.) given by the American Dental Association.
