Return to: Majors and Minors
This minor provides both the theoretical foundation and practical skill set needed for students to design, develop, and analyze interactive digital experiences and video games. Through a balance of courses in game design, programming, 3D asset creation, and emerging interactive technologies, students learn to conceptualize gameplay systems, apply principles of interactivity and user experience, implement game mechanics through programming, and produce playable digital games and interactive media. Coursework emphasizes both creative and technical problem-solving, preparing students to contribute to game development pipelines, interactive media production, and related industries where real-time, immersive, and interactive content is central.
