Semester Hours required for the B.S. in Chemistry Major: 64-90 semester hours depending on Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is comprised of the following common core courses and one of the listed Concentrations. The Chemistry Concentration (see Footnotes 1 and 2) consists of Advanced Chemical Principles Courses. The Management Concentration consists of Management Core Courses and Management Chemistry Elective Courses.

1 Satisfies certification requirements of the American Chemical Society if 1 credit hour of Undergraduate Research CHM 4400X or Honors Research CHM 4555X is taken.
2 Recommended for graduate studies in the chemical sciences.
3 Note: MAT 2442 - Calculus and Analytic Geometry II is a corequisite.
4 The following may not be used as electives in the Chemistry Concentration: CHM 1040G, 3025G, 3100, 3200, and 3300.
5 A maximum of 3 semester hours of Undergraduate Research I-IV, CHM 44001-44004, and Honors Research I-II, CHM 45551-45553 may be used to satisfy the requirements for a chemistry degree.
6 The following may not be used towards the Management Concentration: CHM 1040G, 3025G, 3100, 3200, and 4001.
