Early Childhood Education (B.S. in Education) - ECACE Curricular Pathway

Individuals who are or have been an incumbent worker in an early childhood setting and who have an AAS in Early Childhood or an AA degree are eligible to pursue a bachelor’s degree at EIU via the ECACE curricular pathway. For candidates transferring with an AA degree, candidates must have completed a minimum of 6 semester hours or equivalency coursework that can be used toward meeting the ECACE curriculum requirements. Completion of degree and licensure requirements results in candidates earning a Professional Educators License (PEL) with an early childhood (birth to grade 2) endorsement.
