Individuals who work (or have worked) in an early childhood setting and have earned an associate degree in early childhood education are eligible to pursue a bachelor’s degree at EIU following one of two pathways. The B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education leads to a Professional Educators License with an early childhood (birth to grade 2) endorsement; the B.S. in Human Services leads to a Gateways to Opportunity Level V credential (see https://www.ilgateways.com/).
