Certificate Program Mission: The graduate certificate program in
Technology Security is designed to provide graduate students and professionals
working in industry and business with focused course work on technology
security including facility security, network and database security, as well as
management policies on security of technological systems. The program will help prepare the workforce
in Illinois to be knowledgeable and competitive in the security profession and
the security market.
Admission to Graduate Certificate Program: To be eligible for admission to the Graduate School, applicants must
have obtained a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution approved by
Eastern Illinois University and achieved a minimum undergraduate cumulative
grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.75 GPA on the last 60
hours of graded academic course work.
For post-graduate candidates, the Graduate School criteria include
completion of a graduate degree from an accredited institution approved by
Eastern Illinois University and a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
