HIS 2030G - US History: The Black Experience.

(3-0-3) On Demand. This course will offer African American history in chronological order. The course will emphasize key historical events starting in the seventeenth century to the present-including American Slavery, Civil War/Reconstruction, The Nadir (1890-1930), and the Black Freedom Movement (1954-1975). While the course will concentrate on these key historical events, it will also contextualize Black life in America during (and in between) these significant moments. Credit will not be granted for both HIS 2030G and HIS 3750.
