BIO 3390 - General Microbiology, Honors.


(2-4-4) On Demand. This course will introduce the students to the range of topics that fall under microbiology, including morphology, identification, physiology, genetics, ecology, and the applications of microbiology in endeavors of human interests. The laboratory will include principles and techniques for the isolation, cultivation, enumeration, and characterization of microorganisms. At the end of the course, students should be able to apply the scientific model to analyze and examine issues involving microbiology as well as relate how microbes affect other areas of biology. Credit hours for the course will be removed from a student’s hours toward graduation if the student already has credit for or is registered in; BIO 3300, BIO 1004G, or BIO 1094G. 

Prerequisites & Notes:
BIO 1500 with a grade of “C” or better.
