CTE 3405 - Methods of Teaching Middle- and Secondary-Level Business Education. (3-1-3) On Demand. The primary objective of this course is to prepare students to teach business subjects in middle and secondary schools. The class emphasizes methodology, curriculum planning, unit and lesson planning, instructional resources, assessment development, professionalism, and legislation as it relates to the teaching of business education. Students will engage in planning, instructional design, classroom management, and media and other instructional materials. In addition, the student will demonstrate the dispositions necessary to be successful in the teaching profession. Twenty clock hours or participation/observation in business classrooms (grades 6-12) are required. This course is restricted to students in the Career & Technical Education Business Education Emphasis.
Prerequisites & Notes: A grade of “C” or better in SED 2000 or CTE 2000.
