CHM 5420 - Modern Organic Chemistry

(3-0-3) The course introduces a collective view of both synthetic and physical topics in modern organic chemistry and related crossdisciplinary areas. An advanced study of chemical bonding and structure with emphasis on molecular orbital theory, conformational analysis, mechanisms, pericyclic reactions, enolate chemistry, and retrosynthetic/multistep synthesis.

Prerequisites & Notes
CHM 2840 Organic Chemistry II lecture or equivalent. Course may not be repeated.
