MUS 1502 - Comprehensive Musicianship II.

(3-2-4) F, S. Building on the basic diatonic phrase covered in MUS 1501, this course focuses on part-writing, analysis, and performance of extended diatonic phrases in four-voice chorale and various ensemble textures. Students analyze, write, recognize, perform, and explain two-part compositions containing any diatonic triads and seventh chords, sequences, and selected applied chords and modulations.

Prerequisites & Notes:
Placement through either the Transfer Exam or successful completion of MUS 1501 with a “C” or better.
